 2026 ELECTION OF OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS WAS HELD JUNE 24, 2025l

In accordance with the Chapter- By Laws the Officers and Board of Governors of the Woodford County Chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America are providing this notification, to chapter members, of the election of Officers and a Board of Governors for the  fiscal year to be held at the membership meeting on June 24, 2025 at 6:30 P.M., in the clubhouse on the chapter grounds              

All members, in good standing, are encouraged to be in attendance at the meeting and to cast a vote for the candidate of the member’s choice.

The positions to be voted on are the offices of President, First Vice-President, Second Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary and two Directors.  The Officers will be a two-year term and the Director positions are a three-year term.  Officers and Directors are to attend all meetings, if possible.  Meetings are usually the last Tuesday of each month.  Officers and Directors meet in February to discuss the upcoming year.  Meetings are open to the entire membership February through November.  

Brief Descriptions of offices:

The President presides at all meetings of the Chapter and the Board of Governors; to see that all rules and regulations are strictly enforced and to perform such other duties as pertain to his office.  He shall be ex-officio member of all standing committees and special committees. 

The Vice Presidents First and Second Vice Presidents shall assist the President when necessary, and in the absence of the President perform the duties of the President’s office, as herein defined.

The Secretary shall keep the minutes of all happenings at the meeting of the Board of Governors and make minutes of the monthly meeting available for approval at the next regularly scheduled meeting.    The Secretary will also maintain the WEB site and Facebook Page, if possible.

The Treasurer shall hold and maintain financial records for the Chapter, including but not limited to the Chapter checkbook and making a monthly report to the Board of Governors at the monthly meeting.   The Treasurer must file the Chapter’s Federal 990 tax forms.

The Board approves all purchases or improvements to be performed by the Chapter that amounts to more than $300.
