Friends Way

Friends Way offers pizza and salad at no cost to families at counseling sessions. There is a special container to collect money to help supply the pizza and salad in the rear of the sanctuary. Volunteers from our church serve food every Tuesday at Friends Way. Please support this worthy organization as they help youth and families cope with the loss of a loved one.

We are collecting tabs from soda/beer cans for Ronald McDonald House. A container will be downstairs in the FMR near the food pantry sign.

Summer Mission

The Elizabeth Buffum Chase Centeris in need of bath towel and face cloth sets to give their clients when they arrive at the center.

(No hand towels)

A laundry basket will be placed in the narthex in June to collect them over the summer, and they will be delivered in September.

Through our outreach program we witness to the love and hope found in Christ. We extend a warm welcome to all God’s people. We work for justice and peace for the disadvantaged.

Located in the center of Conimicut Village, Warwick, Woodbury is known as the “Church in the Heart of the Community." The church supports a very active village association which fosters community spirit and beautification. Community-related events include Woodbury’s Music in the Village, a Pumpkin Spooktacular, our well known Christmas in the Village Bazaar, and the Conimicut Village Association Tree Lighting.

Calling attention to food insecurity is a significant mission. Our food pantry distributes food and gift cards once a month to the less fortunate. There are no requirements, and no charges. An interdenominational community No More Hunger Walk raised thousands of dollars for local food pantries.

We support Crossroads RI (homelessness), Dorcas International Institute RI (immigrant resettlement), Elizabeth Buffum Chace Center (shelter for victims of domestic abuse), and Friends Way (support for grieving children and families).

Woodbury has long supported two PC(USA) denominational programs/offerings, One Great Hour of Sharing and Peace and Global Witness. We also support Church World Service.

Special gifts and service are generously supported by members as needs arise.
