Most of my paintings are inspired by city landscapes mostly the glimpses through the small streets of Halle/Saale in Germany revealing the medieval majesty framed by houses bent and worn by the elements and time - delapidated elegance with the old splendor still shining through the patina.

Such views are my inspiration to depict the scenery in multiple layers of paint and pieces of newspaper all covered with a web of lines running through the landscapes connecing and cutting apart the landscapes just as the elements did on the real scene and with pictures and citations of the newspaper articles, hiden under paint, rotated and deprived of its context generating a seconsd glimpse universe revealed only to the watchful and patient eye, just as the true beauty of a city can be seen only when our eyes have habituated to the trivial things and get sensitive to the more subtle details beneath the surface.
