Volunteers Sent Home
Save the date
Thursday, April 2 at 7pm
Many of us want to reach out to the RPCVs who have been evacuated home
to Western North Carolina. We’ve decided to try a virtual meeting on Zoom.
Help spread the word if you know anyone who has recently been evacuated.
(Let’s call it a virtual Beer and Cheer!)
Thursday, April 2 at 7 pm.
Notice to Recently Evacuated PCVs Returning to Western North Carolina
To all the volunteers who are being evacuated to WNC due to COVID-19:
Welcome! The Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Western North Carolina
are eager to support you in your transition home. There are a lot of us here, and
we remember how emotionally stressful it was to return to the United States.
We know it must be even harder for you when your service ended abruptly
without time even for goodbyes!
We want to help and we want to meet you. Since we can’t get together in person,
we’re trying a virtual meeting through Zoom on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 7 p.m. EST.
We hope you will join in and introduce yourself to our group, share about your recent service,
and tell us about your current plans and needs. Members of our group may know regional
and local resources and could advise you on your next steps.
Hoping to meet you, virtually and really!
