16 November 2021: Congratulations to Prof. Wee-Jun Ong in becoming "2021 Highly Cited Researcher" again by Web of Science and Clarivate Analytics. This is his 3rd consecutive year in receiving this prestigious recognition. In 2021, fewer than 6,700, or about 0.1%, of the world's researchers, across 21 research fields, have earned this exclusive distinction. In Malaysia, there are a total of 16 scientists who have been named to this list. Xiamen University has a total of 8 scientists, who received this recognition. Well done, Dr. Ong!

11 August 2020: Congratulations to Prof. Ong for his recent invited publication in Solar RRL. The first impact factor of Solar RRL is 7.527. This is an invited contribution to a special issue (Volume 4, Issue 8) - Nanomaterials for Light-Driven Reactions. Thanks to the Editor for inviting Prof. Ong to be the Lead Guest Editor of this special issue together with Prof. Kazuhiko Maeda from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. 1 March 2019: Congratulations to Assist. Prof. Dr. Wee-Jun Ong in representing Malaysia and Xiamen University Malaysia for the 69th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, which will be held in Lindau, Germany from 30 June to 5 July 2019. He was acknowledged and selected by the scientific review panel of the Council for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings. Only 580 young scientists from 88 countries have received their invitation to come to Lindau this summer to meet 42 Nobel Laureates! Well done!!

22 April 2016: Our invited review article on the state-of-the-art development of g-C3N4-based photocatalysts for energy and environmental remediation is accepted for publication in Chemical Reviews! Chemical Reviews is ranked 3rd in all ISI journals, having a superior impact factor of 46.568. Well done on this outstanding work!!!

14 April 2016: Our 2nd book chapter on the graphene-based semiconductor photocatalysts (Chapter 22) is finally published online in CRC Press. Congrats!

1-4 April 2016: Participated in the 2nd International Symposium on Energy and Environmental Photocatalytic Materials (EEPM2) in Wuhan University of Technology, Wuhan, China. The conference is organized by Prof. Jiaguo Yu and Prof. Mietek Jaroniec. It is our first time visiting the State Key Laboratory of Advanced Technology for Material Synthesis and Processing in Wuhan University of Technology.

18 March 2016: Top 10% of highly cited authors in the Materials portfolio of RSC journals (Nanoscale). Our article published in Nanoscale in 2014 is highly cited (Nanoscale, 2014, 6, 1946-2008). Congrats!
