The mission of the W.J. Keenan High School Raider Engineering and Academic Leadership Program (Project REAL) is to create a K-16 pipeline of scientific and technically literate leaders for the twenty-first century.

W.J. Keenan High School gives students the opportunity to study engineering in one of two programs;

The Raider Engineering and Academic Leadership program, Project REAL, gives students the opportunity to take Project Lead the Way Courses, PLTW, with an option to receive college credit at affiliate colleges and universities.

The South Carolina Governor's School Accelerate program is an extensive engineering curriculum offering motivated high school students from across South Carolina an innovative and accelerated path toward college engineering degrees.

The mission of the GSSM Center for Science Education & Outreach is to serve as a leader in the development and delivery of innovative and exemplary programs designed to improve and support the science, technology, engineering and mathematics achievement of students and teachers across South Carolina and beyond.
