SeaBee is a free utility application that helps with the installation and configuration of the strategy game 'War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition'. It now also acts as a repository of links to many resources helpful to understanding and enjoying the game.
Below you can find information about how to download SeaBee as well as the latest news regarding its development.
Happy New Year!
Please see the 'UPDATE' note in the Downloads section below for info regarding the download file being mistaken as a virus by Google. An alternate download location is provided there in case you have any issue downloading from this page.
SeaBee Support Now Available on Jochen Heiden's Discord
I have become a member of Jochen Heiden's Discord server and now offer help with SeaBee there (as do other members). It is a very active WitP community (now over 500 members) with many AARs (After Action Reports) of ongoing multiplayer/PBEM games, strategy discussions, help, resources, and more. You may join by clicking the invite link in the 'Help' menu in SeaBee or by clicking the invite link below:

If you prefer video guidance, I recommend to take a look at Jochen Heiden's YouTube Channel (BananaConvention on the WitPAE forums). He has created excellent videos covering the use of SeaBee.
Note: the install process changed around June/July of 2023 due to changes made by Google to the Google Sites page which previously hosted the SeaBee files, so look for Jochen Heiden's most recent videos covering SeaBee - or follow the text instructions below. The older version of SeaBee required it to check for any updates before its use, which was broken when Google broke the old Sites page where the files were hosted. The update feature and requirement has been removed from version 0.2a of SeaBee to prevent similar problems in the future.
For the latest discussion on SeaBee, please visit the SeaBee thread on the forums. Discussion and support of SeaBee is now provided at Jochen Heiden's Discord (Invite) [edit - Jan '24]
For the latest discussion on Jochen Heiden's video tutorials, please visit his thread on the forums.
Please also note that as of this writing (July 2023) I am no longer active on the forums. That said, there are many great people there who will be able to help you with any question you may have.
SeaBee has many tooltips built into it as well which you may read by hovering your mouse over the various items in the app. Many questions can be answered by reading the appropriate tooltips.
I hope SeaBee helps you to enjoy the fantastic game, War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition!

First, click the blue 'Open SeaBee Download Page' button at the bottom of this page. You will be taken to the file host's download page on your browser. Click the download button on that page.
The zip file then should begin downloading shortly. Your browser will either ask where to save the zip file OR it will automatically start downloading to your default download directory (a.k.a. folder) as configured in the settings of your browser. Find the downloaded zip file in the download directory and double-click it to extract it. It will extract into its own SeaBee directory. Open the 'SeaBee' directory and double-click 'SeaBee.exe' to start SeaBee. There is no further install/setup process for SeaBee other than extracting the files.
Note: your installation of Windows should be able to open the zip file, but if it cannot for some reason you may use either of the following free utilites to open the file:
Download the 64-bit version of either utility if you have a 64-bit version of Windows; otherwise, download the 32-bit version. If you are unsure, you can always use the 32-bit version of an application - it will work on both 64 and 32-bit versions of Windows. Note that all versions of Windows 11 are 64-bit.
If you want to know for sure whether you have 64 or 32-bit Windows, press the [Windows Key] and the [Pause/Break] keys simultaneously to bring up the "System" or "About" window. Depending on which version of Windows you have, it should be listed somewhere. Look for the phrase "System Type".
UPDATE (January 30th, 2024): Due to the problem of Google repeatedly false flagging the download file, I have found another file host and have added a download button below. SeaBee is also available at 'Jochen Heiden's WitP Central' (Discord Server Invite) as a pinned message on the #witp-faq-and-mods or #witp-downloads-archive channels if you are ever unable to download it here.
Thanks,
Korvar
