From Dee Lane walk to the Foreshore, and from the Slipway walk along the shore in the direction of Hoylake.
Ascend wooden steps, with Golf Course on right and continue towards “The Lighthouse” and Red Rocks Nature Reserve.
From Red Rocks join seaward end of Stanley Road and walk along pavement with Golf Course on your right.
Join Footpath (No36) on your right, which leads behind a red brick church and then across the Golf Course passing the Club House; then turn left to reach Meols Drive.
Cross Meols Drive and walk in the direction of West Kirby, then take FP No34 at Footpath Sign Post before crossing and walking alongside the railway line on FP No33 to the road at the bottom of Grange Hill. Turn left.
Cross the road and turn right to enter Jubilee Drive and then turn right at T junction along Darmonds Green to meet the main road. Cross and follow the sign to Ashton Park, pass through the park to join a road opposite St Bridget’s church.
Turn left, walk uphill to join FP No28, Echo Lane, on the left at the bend. This path leads to Village Road. Cross the road and take FP No27 that leads up the steps to the Column.
From the Column take FP No51, which leads South over Liberty Park to Caldy Hill. There are numerous small paths leading off the main path. Continue on the main path past a set of old gateposts, over a rocky outcrop and past some houses on the right. Walk past the fenced white house on your right and keep the yellow hydrant (has markings “CCFB4”, “9” & “4”) on your left. Walk over the brow of the hill where the hill opens out onto ‘managed heathland’, and past the seats and fingerpost.
Continue along the main natural path for some distance (this is now FP No55), turn left at the yellow way-marks and keep the houses to your left until you go through a gap in the sandstone wall. Then turn right at the yellow way-marks and walk downhill through the pine trees where you will see a path leading to King’s Drive. Turn right and walk down the Drive.
Cross the road at foot of the hill, turn slight left and right to enter Bridleway No25, which enters Croft Drive. Walk downhill and turn right to join the Wirral Country Park at the entrance to the car park.
Join the Wirral Way and walk in the direction of West Kirby.
Turn left onto path leading towards the ‘seashore’ and Cubbins Green to reach the end of Macdona Drive.
At end of road turn left, pass Yacht club and along the prom to Dee Lane.
