Lesson Horses

Captain is a guy who can do it all. He is a 15.2 hand Quarter Horse gelding who was born in 2006. With his sweet personality and aim to please he is loved by riders of all levels for his super smooth gaits. Our go-to beginner mount as he is steady and takes extra care with new riders.

Captain now shares part ownership with one of our riders!

Zak is a guy with lots of energy. He is a 16.3 hand Hanoverian/Thoroughbred cross gelding and was born in 2004. From teaching novices the ropes in the ring to jumping cross- country this guy can do just about everything!

Finnegan is a 16 hand Hanoverian/Thoroughbred cross gelding who was born in 2008. Finn is a cuddly guy who is very much like a big puppy dog. He is becoming a much loved lesson horse by all of our riders.

Our Boarders

Domino started out as a lesson horse but when Cheryl was looking for a new partner the two just clicked. Dom is a 15.3 hand Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred cross gelding who was born in 1998 and is like a big puppy dog with his owner.

Skywalker is a 17.1 hand Canadian Warmblood gelding who was born in 2010. Level headed and full of personality Sky is enjoying a semi-retirement lifestyle of hacking, light dressage and medieval activities (jousting, sword fighting and archery!).

Cassian is a 16 hand Canadian Horse gelding who was born in 2019. His owner hopes to work with him and bring him along for low level eventing and to be a good baby brother to Sky.

Xena was born in 2008 and is an 15.1 hand Percheron/Hackney cross. She is full of personality and has become a great show partner with her new owner. Her talent has taken her up to Entry level with the OEA and she has an exciting future ahead.

Bob is a 2015 Quarter Horse gelding who is learning lots under saddle and stands at 14.1 hands. This little guy is super friendly and is enjoying being a family horse for one of our boarders.

Cisco is a spunky standardbred born in 2006 and standing at 15.2hands. Previously an ex-pacer he had pretty good career before retiring and meeting his new owner and finding a love for cross country.

Reu was born in 2013 and is a 15.3 hand clyde/hackney/arab cross with the sweetest face. He very quickly won the heart of one of our riders and she decided to make him her new heart horse. He has a lot of love to give, enjoys a good cuddle and is happy moving forward in his riding career.

Ripley is a 15.2 hand Clyde/Thoroughbred cross born in 2012. Very sweet and kind natured she is proving to be a lovely partner for her owner.

Athena is a 16.2 hand Thoroughbred born in 2018. She and Carolyn compete on the Ontario Eventing circuit with their eyes on getting to Pre-Training level this summer.

Honorary Boarder

Fille was born in 2004 and is a 15 hand Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred cross mare. Fille started out as a school horse prospect but is now owned by one of our students. While she isn't boarded at Willow Glen anymore she will still be a part of the barn family!
