Biography
I received my MMath Mathematics degree from the University of Oxford in July 2004. Subsequently, I completed an MSc in Bioinformatics at Imperial and was awarded my PhD from Imperial in October 2009. Thereafter I continued at Imperial working as a post-doc with Dr N Adams and Professor M Stumpf until leaving in September 2010 to work for Fidelity Worldwide within the Fixed Income department.
In April 2015 I moved to work for Insight Investment, working within the newly created Asset Solutions team.
I live in Cambridge and spend some of my spare time helping out as a director for Harvey Road Day Nursery.
An old version of my CV is available here.
Research Interests
During my time at Imperial College my research focused on protein interactions in S. Cerevisiae and how they relate to the evolution of proteins across yeast species, interactome size estimation and interaction classification.
The work incorporated performing analysis of interaction data as well as developing tools which could be used (primarily through R) to perform statistical techniques on future experimental data.
On the statistical analysis of protein interaction networks, 2009 (pdf, chapter wordles)
Sampling the Interactome, University of Tokyo, Japan (December 2009)
Statistical Analysis of Protein Interaction Networks, YRM, Cambridge (March 2010)
Stochastic Emulation and Biological Models, MASAMB, Warwick (March 2010)
Capture Recapture: Protein Interaction Networks, MASAMB, Warwick (March 2010)
