I have taught in the Marysville Joint Unified School District since 1997. I worked briefly at Yuba Gardens Middle School as an assistant principal in 2003 through 2006 before coming back to Lindhurst High School as an English teacher. Before that, I graduated high school from Chester Junior/Senior High School in 1985. I went to college briefly before entering into the United States Navy for just under 6 years; eventually getting out in 1992 after participating in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. I went to Butte Community College for approximately 2 and a half years before transferring to California State University Chico. I graduated from CSU Chico in 1996 and started working at Lindhurst shortly thereafter. After earning permanent status, I applied to the Master's program at CSU Sacramento and was accepted and earned a Master's Degree in Education in 2002. I have lived in Chico since 1992 and I am married with 2 children. During my off time, I enjoy camping, fly fishing, and hunting when time allows.
