How to join, what it costs and the point of contact

WHBC is always delighted to welcome new members. We play throughout the year every Monday (except bank holidays) 8pm till 10pm at Westbury Leighton Recreation Centre, our playing year is split into a winter season (Oct to Apr approx. 30wks) and a summer season (May to Sep approx. 20wks).

We offer all over 18s who have expressed an interest in potentially joining WHBC a chance to participate in a free initial trial session, without any commitment, this provides an ideal opportunity to help gauge whether the individual would be a good fit for WHBC and similarly, for the individual to see if they would enjoy their time too.

From an ability perspective, if it looks like the player falls within the ability range  of our current WHBC members, such that competitive games can still be enjoyed by all, an invitation to join will be offered at the end of the evening.

For those individuals whose badminton skills/ experience are vastly different to that of general WHBC standards, we are happy to provide details and facilitate introductions to other mid-Wilts badminton clubs who could potentially better meet their needs, be that a club that caters more for new starters/ recreational players and maybe offers formal coaching or one which provide opportunities to play with current senior county squad members.
