Wednesday and Thursday each week:
Our timetable has been adjusted to accommodate the restrictions of social distancing and our belief that listeners appreciate updates of local news promptly.
Every other Wednesday, when the most recent edition of Welwyn Hatfield Times has just been published, our editor decides which items from that week and the previous are appropriate for inclusion in WHATnews. These articles are then recorded by a team of readers at home, on the Wednesday afternoon. The WHATnews recordings are edited and compiled on Thursday and then WHATnews is copied to CD and distributed.
