Paul Verlain was a french poet who lived in the 19th century. He was born on March 30, 1844
and died by the age of 51 in Paris, France, 1896. In the latest edition of the "Encyclopedia
of Columbia" he is considered as one of the first Symbolists. Verlaine was imprisoned for two years
after he shot and injured his liaison, Arthur Rimbaud.
