Italy is inhabited by more than 61,261,254 people and it is situated on a peninsula that is encompassed by the Adriatic Sea in the east and by the Tyrrhenian Sea in the west. The country is well known for its boot-shaped silhouette. Italy’s neighbouring countries are Austria, Slovenia, France and Switzerland. Rome is the capital city as well as the largest city. Certain islands such as Sicily or Sardinia belong to the Country.
