Siena is the capital city of the province of Siena, which is situated in the Tuscany region, Central Italy.
Siena is well known to tourists for the Corsa del Palio, a famous horse race that is held twice a year during a festival in the Piazza de Campo. Moreover, it is known for its wine and its orange marble.
The city has a lot of art to offer; it is notable for the paintings of the Sienese School of the 13th and 14th century. It also offers visitors views of fantastic architecture, which can be seen in its churches, palaces and several existing medieval places.
