Mary, also called Virgin Mary, Mother of God, Saint Mary, or Our Lady, is the mother of Jesus of Nazareth. She is known from biblical references, and in the New Testament it is mentioned that she was betrothed and later married to Joseph. It is said that she has conceived and born Jesus, while still being a virgin. She is represented a lot in art.
