Man in shirt sleeves

This man works for the hotel in which Woburn spends his last night before leaving New York the next morning. In order to show Woburn his room, the man in shirt sleeves is called by an electric button, pressed by the night clerk 1. He is not a man of many words, not saying a single word while guiding Woburn to his room on the third floor. The only thing he asks for is a match to lite up the gas fixture in Woburn's room.
