Cotillion

The cotillion is a french country dance which became very fashionable around the late 18th-century and early 19th-century. That social dance was especially trendy in Europe and North America. This type of dance was favored to conclude a ball as its final dance. In the original cotillion, four couples dance in a square formation. 1
