Robert Ransom's desk room/library (The Pretext)

The library is a room in the Ransom’s house where Mrs. Margaret Ransom has tea or tidies up her husband’s writing table (Lewis, 1968, p. 632 - 54). One can probably find a “pile of shabby law books” (Lewis, 1968, p. 645), there is a lamp hanging from the ceiling which lights the room and bookshelves are standing at the walls (Lewis, 1968, p. 645). The library is the room where Mrs. Margaret Ransom and Guy Dawnish met for the last time before he travels back to England.
