"But toward the end of the summer the Duchess fell quiet and would hear only sad music, and the two sat much together in the gazebo at the end of the garden."[1]
"Well, the three drank chocolate in the gazebo, and what happened no one knew, except that the Duke, on taking leave, gave his cousin a seat in his carriage; but the Cavaliere never returned."[2]
"“‘Ah,’ the Duke was saying at that moment, ‘this agreeable evening repays me
for the many dull ones I have spent away from you; nor do I remember to have
enjoyed such laughter since the afternoon last year when we drank chocolate in the gazebo with my cousin Ascanio."[3]
A gazebo is a small building, usually placed in a garden or yard, that is open on all sides while still having a roof.[4] They can be quite ornate. Usually placed where there is a good view, they are an ideal place to have picnics, take tea, or indulge in other leisure activities.
