Locronan

Locronan is a small village with a population of 800 inhabitants. The small village got quite some achievements. Since 1924, it's an acknowledged historical site. Additionally it’s a member of the "Plus Beaux Villages de France", and "Petite Cité de Caractère en Bretagne" associations, which honor special villages and towns in France and Brittany. Therefore, tourism is the main branch of income for the little village, and over 400,000 people visit Locronan per year.[1] Name giver of the village is Saint Ronan, an Irish missionary who came on behalf of an Angel.to spread Christianity on the continent.[2]
