Trimmle (Afterward)

Trimmle is the parlor maid working for the Boynes at Lyng. She is mentioned, not by name, but rather by profession, in chapter two where she silently brings letters and lamps into the library (Wharton 350). She seems to be on good terms with Mary Boyne and is very well behaved as becomes evident in chapter three, where she remains a calm and obedient composure despite the fact that Mary Boyne loses hers (Wharton 359).
