The undergardener (Afterward)

The undergardener is an employee of the Boynes. He is mentioned once in chapter three. Mary sees him as she goes back into the house. He doesn’t say anything, he just rakes the gravel (Wharton 357). The character is never again mentioned in this story and judging by the name, it may be safe to assume that the gardener is in charge of him.
