Paris Paschalinus Bordone was born about 1500 in Treviso, Republic of Venice in Italy and died January 19, 1571; in Venice. He was a Renaissance Venetian painter of religious, mythological, and anecdotal subjects. He is famous for his sexualized paintings of women. Paris Bordone painted many paintings of the Madonna and after a couple of years he became more Mannerist, as his colors became warmer. He painted many images of the Holy Family, but then he started to paint blonde female figures, giving them statuesque features.
