Laurence Corbett's sister

Laurence Corbett has a sister, whose name, however, is never mentioned. She moved to Paris because her husband, the Comte de Vitrey, lived there. Owing to the fact that she was not happy in her marriage, her brother Laurence followed her from New York to Paris to take care of her. After a few years of her marriage her husband, Monsieur de Vitrey, died. (White 14)
