Harvey Mears

Harvey Mears of Providence is the cousin of Lizzie and married to Mrs. Mears. He is friends with Mr. Jackson Benn and introduced him to Lizzie. Harvey and his wife accompany Lizzie, Andora and Mr. Benn at the restaurant Laurent. When his wife points out that a supposed Frenchmen is staring she asks Harvey to get the waiter, but he simply “[…] continued the undisturbed dissection of his chicken wing […]” (Lewis 191/192) and ignoring Mrs. Mears.
