The cottage in Wales, UK is also an only shortly mentioned place in "The Pretext". It is described as “rose-hung” (Lewis, 1968, p. 638) and it is the place of retirement of Guy Dawnish’s mother after her father-in-law, the old Earl, died. The picture shows what the cottage might have looked like.
