Beacon Street is located in Boston in the United States confining one of Boston’s oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods in the United States, which is named Beacon Hill. This area is not a residential area, but also a popular tourist site, since it is very close to the theater district. The neighborhood combines Federal, Greek, Revival and Victorian architecture. Beacon Street and Beacon Hill offer a great variety of antique shops, restaurants and boutiques. The Massachusetts State House can be found right on Beacon Street and is a famous landmark in Boston. Just across from Beacon Street is Boston’s beautiful Park which is called Boston Common. Many notable people including Louisa May Alcott, Oliver Wendell Homes, Daniel Webster, Robert Frost, Sylvia Plath, and Senator John Kerry lived in Beacon Hill.
