This parts list includes all upgrades from the WG6100 FAQ:
Main Deflection Board:
Neck Board:
Alternate parts:
Original MPS-U07 & MPS-U57 (Q603,Q703,Q604,Q704)
Alternate: CENU07 & CEN-U57 (TO-202 package)
Other possible alternates for MPS-U07 and MPS-U57 respectively (mixed reports on whether these introduce too much capacitance leading to curved vectors):
ECG188 , ECG189
NTE188 , NTE189
SK3199 , SK3200
MJE182 , MJE172
* Update 11/2/2017 I read this article on KLOV that talks about using alternative transistors (BD140, BD139) to eliminate the wavy vectors. This is referring to the Dezbaz repro but may be applicable to the original PCB as well.

A few weeks ago Dokert contacted me as he was building some of the repro WG6100 Deflection Boards
Like the rest of us he was getting Chinese squiggly / bad letters
He had worked through the problem for a long time and he was able to find the reason why
He told me the MJE150xx transistors caused the problems
He suggested BD140 & BD139 for the 4 x TO-220 deflection transistors (2 of each)
These are very cheap compared to the MJExxxxx and MPSUxx
I tried them in a WG6100 deflection I am building right now with great results. Never have I seen letters as good on an Amplifone or a WG6100 repro!
You have to flip the transistors around to get the pinouts correct (See the 2 x pics above)
So you need a tiny little screw insulator or the screw will short to the metal plate on the back of the BD1xx (which is now the front)
I use these packs (they contain 2 x screw ins & 2 x mica ins)
The back of a transistor is small?? Not sure why
This is reflecting on a dusty old mirror, sorry about that. The monitor is in the corner, and it's hard to do anything there
The degauss needs doing, on this monitor too, sorry!
Anyway, you can see the letters are good (Compare these new pics to the pic in post 1 of this thread IE : Pic Below
PIC FROM 2015 USING MJExxxxx Transistors
Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. It's very hard to get MPSUs here, so the problem snowballed from there
So Dok has saved an enormous amount of time and effort by sharing this vital info
Thanks again to you Dok
