The Richard A. Sachs Jr. Youth Racing Grant is a fund available to eligible middle and high school age students who have a demonstrated interest in advancing their skills and knowledge of ski racing.
The grant seeks to unite ski racing passions by offering grant funds to young people who want to become better skiers or try ski racing for the first time.
Ski racing is an expensive sport that requires time, extensive travel, and gear. These factors create barriers to access. This grant is aimed at providing opportunities for young skiers who may demonstrate financial hardship, lack of access to ski racing opportunities, and the desire to deepen their involvement in skiing.
The funds are to be used to arrange for gear, transportation, race fees, memberships with clubs to train, and other opportunities that would allow a skier who desires it to gain a foothold in the world of ski racing.
