Check Valves were reinstalled at the setters to satisfy state regulations.
This will cause a "closed system" to be created in the home. This can make your water heater susceptible to damage caused by thermal expansion. Thermal expansion is a potentially dangerous condition caused by your water heater overheating and excessive pressure build up from a malfunction of the pressure relief valve on the water heater.
Please ensure that your water heater has been properly installed with working T&P valves and an expansion tank. If in doubt please consult a plumber.
