Scholarship Guidelines
Western Nebraska Cutters, Inc. (WNC) offers its youth members the opportunity to earn scholarships. Funding for this scholarship may be applied to any accredited college or university degree programs, or accredited vocational programs. The WNC Board of Directors reviews the status of the youth scholarship program and determines the number and amounts of the scholarships to be awarded each year. Current or previous WNC scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.
Recipients are selected based on academic achievement, financial need, and involvement with WNC, as well as an applicant’s outstanding leadership and communication skills.
Scholarship Criteria:
Applicants must be a current individual or family member of WNC and be active in the club.
Applicants must submit a typed application in essay form that includes the following:
Name of High School with anticipated graduation date;
High school academic achievements;
High school extra-curricular activities;
Community involvement;
WNC involvement; and
Plans for further education.
Applicants must submit a high school transcript or state aptitude test scores.
Applicants must submit 2 letters of recommendation.

Payment of the WNC Scholarship will be made to the recipient when the recipient provides verification of active enrollment in a qualified college, university, or vocational program.
