Badminton Alberta is responsible for formal coach training and certification in Alberta:

Coach.ca is the overarching organization responsible for coach certification for many sports in Canada. They have generalized resources and training like ethical issues, nutrition, mental aspects of sport, etc.

Other Resources:
The resources below cover some of the more technical items. When I was first looking for coaching training, these are the things that I was most interested in, the technical stuff. The Badminton Alberta coaching certification assumes that you already have a pretty firm grasp of the technical skills, so they cover other things like planning a practice, ethics, safety, etc.
Item 1: Badminton World Federation (BWF) Level 1 Coaching Training Videos.
These are 62 very short, very basic videos about each aspect of a beginner/intermediate players game. E.g. they have a 45 second video showing the footwork to the forehand rear court and a 2 minute video showing a backhand netshot etc.

Item 2: BWF Level 2 Coaching Training Videos.
This is 106 more short videos of slightly more advanced topics like hitting a spinning net shot or weight training for badminton etc.

Item 3: BWF Shuttle time
This is very beginner level and more for community outreach, teachers, and very recreational players. It is more about building interest and having fun. But it might be appropriate for some of our Junior clubs and they have lesson plans etc. You have to register, but they have lots of free resources.

Item 4: Badminton Insight Youtube Channel
There are lots of badminton youtube channels, but this particular one has a lot of content that can help intermediate players (or coaches) tackle advanced topics. They cover things like playing with a weaker doubles partner, doubles rotation, how to prepare for a tournament, etc. This is not a course, though, so the information is not "curated" and there isn't a particular order to watch the videos and some of the videos might be off-topic for coaching. But overall it is still a very good reference.

Item 5: BWF Online Course
I have not tried this yet, but it is the online materials that go with the videos in Items 1 and 2 above. It is free if you register.
