West Amity is a MN Horse Council Certified Stable offering modern facilities kept in clean, safe, working order to provide the very best for both you and your horse.
Outdoor Arena- approximately 30x60m sand arena with 5 ft fence panels. Well maintained sand footing is wonderful for riding in the spring through fall. Also feature outdoor lights for late night riding.
Indoor Arena- Rubber/washed sand footing for minimal dust and good cushion in the 30x50m enclosed indoor, complete with viewing area, two sets of mirrors, and radio (very important).
Stalls- Eight roomy box stalls are available for board, as well as five stalls for pastured horses with injuries or other concerns.
Trails- West Amity Stables has easy access to the beautiful City of Duluth maintained Amity Creek trail system. The main trail can be followed to skyline parkway, where riders can continue to many locations including Hawks Ridge overlook, the Lester Park ski trails, and much more for hours of fun and adventure.
Cross-Country Field- Our regularly updated cross-country jumping field allows West Amity to host numerous two-day jump clinics. Offering fences for all levels of riders, it has everything from novice level complexes to single logs for new riders to practice walking over. Also includes banks of varying levels, a roll-back, point jumps, corner jumps, two different ditches, tables, and much more. It's also a great place to ride in the snow in winter months!
Hay/grain Barn- Large steel beamed pole barn keeps hay, grain, supplements, and your equines partner's favorite treats dry and well stored.
Groom Area- Our new, state-of-the-art groom area has 4 cross-tie groom stalls, as well as saddle and bridle racks for your convenience when tacking up. Heated in the winter and shady and cool in the summer, the groom area has windows for natural lighting, as well as flourescent lights for nighttime or winter rides.
