The Ultimate Experience in Mobile Massage Therapy!™
Wendy was born in Kingston, New York, and grew up in Saugerties (yes, Jimmy Fallon's hometown ;o). She earned her Associate of Science Degree in Business Administration from SUNY Ulster (Ulster County Community College) in Stone Ridge. Then she moved to Melbourne, Florida, and began utilizing her education and administrative talents in various healthcare fields, including Pain Management, Physical Therapy, Orthopedics, Internal Medicine, and Oncology, before fulfilling a longtime goal of becoming a professional Licensed Massage Therapist. Wendy diligently studied anatomy, physiology and hydrotherapy during her Massage Therapy Training at Space Coast Health Institute in Melbourne, after which she was granted a Florida License and Certification in Therapeutic Massage [MA 43819].
Wendy later became certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork by completing hundreds of hours of coursework, demonstrating mastery of core skills, abilities, and knowledge, while upholding the national standard of excellence for the massage and bodywork field. She constantly strives to enhance her skills and techniques through independent study and various continuing education unit (CEU) programs, which are required on a regular basis to maintain her state massage license. Wendy is currently studying oncology massage and will soon offer that type of therapy to cancer patients and individuals in hospice or palliative care.
Wendy has been practicing massage since 1997 with a sincere passion for helping people. She truly enjoys providing treatment to aid in relieving bodily aches and pains, as well as promoting relaxation for the elimination of emotional stress and tension. She has extensive experience in the following types of therapeutic bodywork: Swedish Massage (relaxation), Prenatal & Postnatal Massage (pregnancy), Deep Tissue Massage (deep muscle), Sports Massage (athletic performance & recovery), Trigger Point Myotherapy, and Canine Massage. That's right; Wendy has always felt a deep affection for dogs and finds great pleasure in helping her four-legged friends with the same caring treatment as her human clients. Wendy loves dogs and they sure love her too! =)
Let me dedicate my life today
To the care of those come my way
Let me touch each one with healing hands
And the God-given talents for which I stand
May the Divine force flow from me to you
Let our energy, strength and spirit renew
And then tonight when my day is done,
Let me rest in peace if I helped just one
“Lord, lead me today to those I need and to the ones who need me. And let something I do have eternal significance.” -a prayer shared by Amy Grant at Women of Faith, Charlotte, NC
