Listed above is a group of students from Mr. Lytton's third period class, United States History Honors. These students, (left to right) Chloe Norman, Phoenix Adair, Morgan Dean, Bailey Huss, and Johnathan Carpenter, all juniors, built the awesome project they're holding. The project in Mr. Lytton's class was to design and build from scratch, their own model of a World War 1 theme park. They had to build rides, restaurants, gift shops, and name their masterpiece. Each student worked very hard, and as Johnathan said- "it took lots of time and effort and we got stumped along the way." As you can see, their project turned out amazing with a large rollercoaster covering the park and an entrance with brawling army men.
They named their park "Trenchsterville Park", and Chloe told me- "we got the idea of the layout from Dollywood, we loved how that theme park was set up and decided to model ours like it." In the very middle of the park sets a large, popsicle stick built waterslide with a tub of water at the end. There are two restaurants, a giftshop, and a helicopter with a green army man looking out over the park to make sure no enemies try to attack. With all the detail and ideas that went into the project, it's obvious this group deserved their first place credit for the project.
This World War 1 project was inspired after these students learned about the history of the war and had to showcase their knowledge by building a theme park dedicated to it. This project really displayed their knowledge and deserved a 10/10!
