Hi, I am Daniel Weimer.
I am heading the AI department of Volkswagen Group of America located in Detroit, MI, United States of America.
Before, I set up and headed the Machine Learning Expert Center within Volkswagen Data:Lab in Munich, Germany where our job was to develop and deploy latest machine learning and AI algorithms into real processes along the whole automotive value chain.
Prior to that I was a researcher at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa in the field of AI. I'm originally affiliated to the University of Bremen, where I have been working as a Research Scientist and Ph.D. candidate in the Intelligent Production Systems research division at BIBA - Bremer Institut fuer Produktion und Logistik GmbH.
My work is on Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Computing and applications. I am specifically interested on AI integration in real processes and products and work with my team on MLOps, large-scale IoT platforms and the next generation of AI systems.
