1. All members irrespective of gender are permitted to exhibit in both the Spring and Summer Shows with the exception of any class where gender has been specifically identified, i,e., Class 64 in the Summer Show which is Men only. All members of a household are eligible to enter.
2. The annual subscription includes a Year Book containing schedules for the Shows and entry to all classes in both Shows.
3. The Village Hall will be open for the staging of exhibits from 8.15a.m. until 10.15 a.m. on the day of each Show. Exhibitors must leave the Hall at 10.15 a.m. to permit the judging to commence.
4. No exhibit is to be removed from the Hall before completion of the presentation of the trophies. Removals should be completed by 4.45p.m.
5. Exhibitors may only submit one entry for each Class and must be careful to stage the exact quantities and in the dimensions stipulated.
6. The Judges shall have the authority to withhold any prize or to award additional prizes at their discretion.
7. In the Home-craft Division each exhibitor must have produced his/her own exhibit.
8. Flowers, vegetables and fruit must have been grown by the exhibitor or in his or her possession for a minimum of three months, orchids 1 year.
9. Where exhibits are annotated “one variety”, if the exhibitor knows the name of the variety it would be of interest and assistance to the Judge concerned if the name of the variety were displayed alongside the exhibit.
10. In the event of two or more exhibitors achieving equal points in the Divisions for which trophies are awarded, the trophy will be awarded to the exhibitor gaining most First prize points. Should a tie situation exist the trophy will be awarded to the exhibitor achieving most First and Second prize points, with Third prize points being taken into account if a tie still exists. Points are awarded 1st(4), 2nd(3), 3rd(2), Highly commended (1), Best in Division (5).
11. Entry forms are provided on the website and in the Year Book. These or photocopies of them must be used for all entries. Completed Entry Forms must be received by any member of the Committee. No entry will be accepted after 6.30p.m.on the Thursday evening preceding each Show.
12. Prize money (£1 for First prize only) may be claimed from the Treasurer at the Show until 3.30p.m.
