Infos on the application :
- can read iCal calendars (ICS) or WCAP ones (eg. Sun/Oracle Calendar)
- in mode WCAP you can authenticate to see retricted calendars or simply do an anonymous connection
- in mode WCAP you can select calendars from the list of your subscribed calendars or write the name of the calendar you want by hand
- to boost the fetching performances you can choose a starting date of events fetching
- the application will not do write operations, it is just an OTA reader
- in offline mode everything will work from the cache ; the events will be viewable without any problems
- to update a calendar from the application you just have to click on Menu/Refresh
- Google Calendar allow you to access your calendars in iCal format (go in the parameters of the calendar agenda with a desktop browser to get the url giving access to your calendar in private mode), so you can use this application with it (or even use the widget to replace the one from Google)
- it has been tested on many Android version ; from 2.1 to tablets with Honeycomb
- unlike othe calendar applications this one display the full description of each event and not only the summary ; this way you don't have to do multiple clicks juste to see what you want
- for now the application and the widget are available in two languages : english and french. Nevertheless if your locale is any from thoses two the menus will be in english, but the days will be display in your locale
Infos on the widget :
- widget available in three sizes (2x2, 3x3 et 4x4)
- widget configurable (you can display different calendar per each widget)
- a single clic on the widget allow to refresh the calendar view from the widget (this won't affect the calendar view from the application)
- you can choose to update the widget directly from the remote server or by using the cache from the application view (in this case you have to update the calendar from the application to update the view from the widget)
- the font size use in the widget is customizable during its creation
- the number of day containing an event to display in the widget is customizable during its creation
- the widget only display current and upcoming events, so you can have a calendar agenda configured in the application to fetch 10 years old events without impacting the performances on the widget
- as the application when you are in offline modeeverything will work from the cache and the events will be refreshed from the cache
