Print Resources

The Washburn Public School Library has approximately 16,324 print titles in its collection. These print resources include reference, fiction, and non-fiction titles at various levels including K-3, 4-6, 5-8, 9-12, and adult.

Multi-Media Resources

The Washburn Public School Library has approximately 75 multi-media titles in its collection. These resources include DVDs, books on tape, and CDs, which are available for check out to staff.

Computer Stations & Computer Lab

There are 11 computer stations available for student and staff use at the Washburn Public School Library. In addition, there is a newly added computer lab that can be utilized during open times by classrooms. Please refer to the schedule on the white board in the library to reserve a time for your class to visit.

Periodicals

The Washburn Public School Library subscribes to several periodicals. Interests of students as well as staff are taken into consideration when periodical subscriptions are filled. Periodicals currently available are the following:

  • People
  • School Library Journal

Newspapers

The Washburn Public School Library subscribes to the following newspapers:

    • Bismarck Tribune (online only)

Interlibrary Loan

Kindles

Washburn Public School Library has five kindles available for check-out to students in grades 9-12, as well as staff. Several titles are on each electronic reader, and can be checked out for a period of 2 weeks at a time. Imagination Library

Washburn Public School proudly facilitates the Imagination Library for children between the ages of 0 and 5 within our school district. Each child that resides in the Washburn School District between the ages of 0 and 5 is eligible to receive a book free of charge (which will be mailed to his/her home on a monthly basis) through this fantastic program supporting early literacy.
