Wei obtained her bachelor's and master's degrees from Chongqing University in 2015 and 2018, respectively, and MPhil degree from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022. During her PhD study, she visited Erasmus University for six months as an exchange student. During her 4-year PhD studies at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, she visited Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) for two years as an exchange student/visiting scholar. Her PhD research has been published in Transportation Research Part B, Management Science, INFORMS Journal on Computing, Naval Research Logistics, Transportation Research Part C, Transportation Research Part E, and Journal of the Operational Research Society. She won the Best Student Paper Award for 2018 KES International Conference on Smart Transport Systems, Australia, the INFORMS Transportation Science and Logistics Society (TSL) Cross-region Doctoral Grant in 2019, and ICS Harvey J.
