Hello. My name is Randy Rink, also known as "The Wagon Man". I was born and raised on a farm outside of the small town of Scribner, NE. I worked hard with my family on our farm, but my true passion was building things. For the first part of my life I made a living in the concrete and carpentry construction industry with a hobby on the side of building furniture and other things for myself and my family. I decided to focus more on my hobby and I built a shop with the help of my brother and my son.
Over coffee one day, my friends decided I needed to branch out into building something more unique. We were discussing tractors and the decision was made to build wagons. In 2003 I started building quality hand-crafted quarter scaled wagons for pedal tractors. I enjoyed this so much that I decided to make different styles of wagons. Styles now include: barge boxes, flair boxes, and gravity flow boxes. My wagons sit on a steel running gear with tie-rod steering, and everything but the gravity flow can be fitted with a functional lift cylinder. Longer handles for pulling the wagons by hand can also be added. These wagons can be made from Cedar, Purple Heart Red Cedar, or I have a limited supply of Walnut and Oak. I can paint them John Deere Green, International Harvestor Red, Allis Chalmers, or any color you want.
I started going to antique tractor shows with flea markets and toy shows to sell and showcase my wagons. I was happy to get compliments from people about the excellent craftmanship of the wagons which encouraged me to continue with this hobby. In Waverly, NE we have a 4th of July parade so I decided to have a little fun with my wagons and pull them through the parade. I enjoyed this so much that it prompted me to find something to pull my wagons through the parade every year. In 2011, I saw a half scale tractor built from a garden tractor which lead me to build half scaled wagons. Styles now include: barge boxes, stake side wagons with removable sides, and I am currently working on a design for utility wagons which will have multiple uses. Take a look at my product page for a showcase of wagons and customizable options.
