About the Club
The San Mateo Radio Club serves the Amateur Radio community in San Mateo and the surrounding communities on the San Francisco peninsula since 1946. The club provides a focus for its members to share common interests in the many varied aspects of a great hobby. Support emergency preparedness, helps newcomers to get on the air, and encourages growth in more experienced operators. The club promotes the exchange of knowledge and skills among members. The club’s goal is to improve its member’s technical and operating capabilities and to foster fellowship.
The San Mateo Radio Club meets the third Friday of the month at 7:15pm at the Beresford Recreation Center, 28th Avenue and the Alameda de Las Pulgas, San Mateo. Each meeting has a presentation on a topic of interest in amateur radio. There are plenty of opportunities to ask questions and get help with problems.
Membership is open to anyone with an interest in amateur radio. The annual dues are $25.
