Reading 6: Robotics and Kinetics + GROUP Response Project

Assignment Description:
This week we will once again be SHARING the task of reading and responding in groups. (see group assignments below.) We will divide and conquer this week's reading, and then come together share, discuss, and then collaboratively produce a project in response.
Assignment Requirements:
1.) All group members must read the introduction on p. 369
2.) Split the remainder of the reading between group members:
a.) Group Member 1 reads section one (pp. 369 - 385)
b.) Group Member 2 reads section two (386 - 405)
c.) (for groups of 3) Group Member 3 also reads section one (pp. 235 - 258)
3.) Discuss! Summarize / share the contents of your section of the reading with your group members. Be sure to discuss sections that stood out to / resonated with you, but also sections that did not, or that left you with questions.
4.) Produce a COLLABORATIVE project (in any chosen medium) in response to the reading and your discussion of it.
5.) Document your group's response project (with photos, images or videos) in a new post on your blog
6.) Include, in your post, a brief reflection on the reading and additional web media items you explored.
Consider questions such as:
What stood out to you and your partner(s)?
What connections (comparisons or contrasts) can you and your partner(s) make to your own work/practices?
What questions were you and your partner(s) left with?
7.) Be prepared to speak to your response at next class' round table discussion, in particular:
a.) What specific part or parts of the reading did you choose to respond to?
b.) If your response considers artists from the reading, which artists and why?
c.) How does your project relate to / articulate a response to the reading?
***Recommendation: Practice presenting your project / responses, as a group, within a 10-minute time frame (15 min for a group of 3)***
