Your child can have their name in lights on the Mound marquee in front of the school. We ask for a $20 donation to the Mound Outdoor Education Program. Please email mound.marquee@gmail.com with your request. Cash or checks made payable to "Mound School PTO -- Outdoor Education" in a sealed envelope can be submitted in the front office. We also accept venmo (include birthday or promotion, child's first name, & date of announcement). Please allow at least 3 business days so we can verify donation and schedule the marquee announcement.

The Mound Outdoor Education Program supports outdoor education opportunities for Mound fifth graders.  Fifth grade students traditionally go on an annual Outdoor Education 3 day/2 night trip to Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI), at Fox Landing. There they learn about different animals local to the area, their habitats and ecosystems. They hike, kayak, dissect squid, snorkel, have fun around the campfire and so much more. Not only do they learn a ton, but they also connect with each other and build memories that last a lifetime, before starting a new adventure...middle school.
