Except for students from colleges in Trichy and its neighbouring towns (Tanjore, Pudukottai, etc/ 50km radius), I consider other students  for internships in an online/virtual mode only. 

Dr. V. Ravichandran currently holds the position of Professor of Mathematics at the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. He completed his B.Sc., M.Sc., and M.Phil. degrees at National College, Trichy, and obtained his Ph.D. degree from Anna University, Chennai. His career began as a Lecturer at SVCE in 1996. He was a Visiting Post-doc/Senior Lecturer at  Universiti Sains Malaysia during  2004-2007, and later, he held Visiting Professor position there in 2011-12. He joined as Reader at University of Delhi in 2007 and appointed there as Professor in 2014. He served as the Head of the Department, Department of Mathematics, DU  from December 21, 2015 to  April 12, 2018.  

Dr. Ravichandran has authored more than 200 research papers, with more than 50 co-authored with Prof. Dato' Indera Rosihan M. Ali from Universiti Sains Malaysia. He has written textbooks on complex analysis (published by USM Press), real analysis,  PDE and discrete structures (all three published by Springer). Additionally, he has supervised 24 Ph.D. and 9 M.Phil. scholars, and he is currently guiding 1 scholar  for her Ph.D. degree.

He serves as an editor for the Bulletin of the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society since 2004, as well as for The International Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences (Wiley), The Journal of the Indian Mathematical Society, Journal of Analysis,  and Ganita. He is also an Associate Editor, University Texts in the Mathematical Sciences, Springer. He is a reviewer for Mathematical Review, published by the American Mathematical Society, and for Zentralblatt Math, published by the European Mathematical Society. He has reviewed  around 100 papers for the latter. Moreover, he regularly acts as a referee for several journals.

He was the chairman of the Governing Body at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women, University of Delhi from June 2017 to April 2018. He also served as an Adjunct Professor at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University from August 2016 to August 2018. Furthermore, he has been a Visiting Professor at the Division of Mathematical Sciences, Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea, and at the School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His papers have received merit rewards from USM, and for three consecutive years (2008-2010), his papers won the Best Research Paper Award in the Science, Technology, and Medicine category, bestowed by the Malaysian Council of Scholarly Publications (Majlis Penerbitan Ilmiah Malaysia MAPIM).

Dr. Ravichandran has been using LaTeX since 1993 and is always willing to train others in this excellent typesetting software. However, he is not fond of traveling.
