The reconstituted route, long of more than 65 km, was built with Trainz 2012 then for the present version adapted to Trainz 2019 on a topographic basis generated by TranzDEM. Reliefs are reproduced thus faithfully.
The setting-up of the built, the agricultural and woody surfaces has for base a series of aerial photos of IGN (NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC INSTITUTE) of 1945/1950. The landscapes should thus be rather close to what they were in 1920.
As for rolling stocks and in signalling systems, useless to specify that they were reproduced with most possible fidelity. One thank you to Bruno ( Mistral69) Jean-Pierre ( Guyader1) and to Mickaël (Bambi) who agreed "to lend" me some of their freight cars so that I adapt them to the place and the period.
The route is available on the DLS<kuid2:458053:101070:1> .
Three sessions, also available on the DLS, are proposed to you:
- 'Head to the sawmill...' : on the board of a little steam loco, drive a load of grapes up to the next sawmill (<kuid2:458053:103506:1> + HTML pages <kuid:458053:103510> )
- Vosges " Petite Vitesse " (low freight train), to go through the section Epinal-Remiremont (<kuid3:458053:101064:3> + HTML pages <kuid2:458053:101197:2> )
- Vosges "Dans la Vallée" (in the valley), to finish the route until the terminus aboard a small local train (<kuid2:458053:103574:1> + HTML pages <kuid2:458053:101232:2> )
