I write poetry shaped by the social-realist tradition, exploring work, childhood, poverty, migration, neighbourhoods, memory, and the quiet details of everyday life.

My poems move between Anatolian landscapes and urban life, bringing personal memory into contact with wider social realities. They draw on ordinary speech, local vocabulary, mythology, religion, humour, and close observation of the everyday.

Paydos is my first poetry collection. Clocking Off brings the poems of Paydos into English.
