I am the Associate Director of the evaluation unit at the Office of Applied Research, Evaluation and Data Analytics (OAREDA), where I lead and support the evaluation and research related to the Early College Initiative, LINCT to Success, and College Bridge for All. I have over 10 years of experience conducting quantitative research on college and labor market success for underserved population. My research interests include financial aid, community college, summer enrollment, transfer students, and the economic returns to higher education.
You can see some of my work in a variety of news outlets, including The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inside Higher Ed, The Huffington Post, U.S. News and World Report, Bloomberg Businessweek, and others. Additionally, I have been invited to write for an online newspaper, The EvoLLLution, which focuses on transforming higher education.
I hold a Ph.D. in Economics and Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and a B.A. with a double major in Economics and Education from Macalester College, Minnesota. I am also a proud alumni of Red Cross Nordic United World College.
